(9-27-12, Part 2) SEX AND THE SINGLE STOOGE...The STOOGES opened for Ten Years
After at the Boston Tea Party in mid-September of '69. IGGY complained about TYA's audience,
calling them "collegiate" and into "guitar worship". But
further research reveals another reason for The IG's animosity toward TYA and
their fans. Apparently the Bostonian groupies preferred their targets to be
English and popular rather than unknown
(to them) mid-western weirdos. IGGY and the band were used to a lot of
easy action on their home turf, but on this night they weren't getting any.
However, the rest of the STOOGES took it all in stride...it just gave them more
time to get into that " real O mind ".
