GOREHOUND...This weekend is a (un)holy one in the Church of Psychobilly's
calendar for it contains both the B-Days of the King and Queen of Punk Junk,
LUX INTERIOR (10/21/46) and POISON IVY(10/20) of the CRAMPS. The term
'Psychobilly' is perhaps too limiting; Punk, Goth, and Garage all owe a blood
debt to the Cramps. Plus, their depraved taste in all sorts of crazed Rock,
Pop, and R & B from the past turned many of us on to amazing songs and
performers we would never have heard of otherwise. Lux died on 2/4/'09 but he
lives on thru all his Voodoo Children. To quote CARL PERKINS: " Rave on, chillun..I'm
WITCHA!"
